Fluid bed technology – from fundamentals to industrial applications
May 20–22, 2026
Hotel Phoenix, in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark
„A well-designed fluid bed system enables consistent quality & optimal process performance.”
But how does that really work in practice?
These questions will be explored during the Fluid Bed Technology Course in Copenhagen (from May 20 to 22), bringing together experts and practitioners to share knowledge on fluidization, design and process optimization.
Our expert Arne Teiwes, Process Technology Fodd, Feed & Fine Chemicals, Glatt Ingenieurtechnik, will add practical insights into fluid bed granulation and coating, focusing on equipment design, during his lecture on Day 2 at 10:00.
This in-service training course is designed for specialists, engineers, and scientists working in the food, biotech, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries who want to deepen their understanding of fluidization, granulation, coating, and drying processes.
Whether you’re working in R&D or production, this course combines hands-on exercises, expert lectures, and real industrial examples to help you optimise your fluid bed processes and scale-up operations.
Arne Teiwes will provide a comprehensive overview of the principles and applications of fluidized bed particle formulation and drying processes from a practical perspective. He will discuss the fundamentals of fluidized bed design and a range of specialized drying and particle formulation processes, including spray granulation, coating, and agglomeration. The lecture will emphasize the essential principles and practical applications of various fluidized bed processes at different scales. Arne Teiwes will also address relevant considerations regarding upstream and downstream processing equipment and offer practical insights into product development as well as illustrative examples of full-scale equipment. In addition to classic applications, the lecture will highlight the latest developments and other possible application areas of fluidized beds for particle design.
