Your Options for Process Management
Clever interaction between the operating mode and handling of all process media for optimum product results
The fluid bed system or the spouted bed system is at the heart of the process. It can be operated batchwise or continuously. The processes require and handle solids, liquids and gases. Glatt therefore offers plant know-how for process control of all aggregate states.
Conti and Batch
Batchwise for small quantities, frequent product and recipe changes, limited batch sizes, traceability or longer coating processes.
Continuous for economical production of large product quantities, 24/7 shift operation, low manpower requirements due to automation of the entire process.
Process Gases
Fresh air must be cleaned, dehumidified and heated before being fed to the fluid bed system. After the process, the exhaust gas must be cleaned for discharge to the environment. As an alternative to this fresh air/exhaust air operation, the process gas can be fed in a closed loop, with normal pressure or in vacuum operation.
Solids
Solid raw materials must be dosed and transported into the fluidized bed system. The solid products leaving the plant must be screened – and if necessary grinded – and returned to the process. Cooling, transport and packaging are further steps through which the final product passes.
Liquids
Liquid raw materials, such as solutions, suspensions, emulsions or melts, have to be prepared accordingly and possibly heated before they can be sprayed at a certain speed in the fluid bed system. Spraying hot liquids of all kinds. Solvents can be recovered.
