Collaborative project ASTEROID: Elaboration of the plant and control engineering fundamentals for the precise control of particle growth in granulation processes.
The project is dedicated to the development of measurement and control fundamentals for a process-immanent, targeted control of product properties and their validation on plants of different sizes. From this, reliable statements on the industrial scalability and pharmaceutical suitability of self-regulating granulation processes can be derived. The results create the technological prerequisites for a completely new quality level in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products (granules and tablets).
