At our site in Weimar, we plan, design and implement international projects ranging from the expansion of existing production facilities to the construction of entire new production plants. In doing so, we combine professional engineering with in-depth know-how of proprietary and patented process technologies.
Focused on bulk solids
Our focus is on processes concerning particle design and particle engineering. We develop, optimize, functionalize and produce powders and bulk materials such as granules and pellets. The powders and bulk solids that we process are used in food, feed, chemicals and fine and agrochemicals, as well as in processes for the production of biotechnological and chemical active ingredients of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical dosage forms.
We support our customers’ product ideas from the early stages of product formulation to process development and all the way to the scale-up to production level. As a developer of technical equipment with many years of experience, we focus our competencies in an integrated service concept: sustainable process and factory planning – adapted to the individual technology requirements of our customers. Expertise as the pioneer in fluid bed technology
Our expertise is the development of optimal, customized integrated solutions for the production of functionalized powders and granules. As a pioneer in fluid bed and spouted bed technology, we have more than 70 years of experience in groundbreaking process solutions.
At our site in Weimar, Germany, we run a modern technology center for product design, production and functionalization of powders, granules and pellets made of liquid and/or solid base materials. Our services and equipment are specialized in Glatt powder synthesis as well as fluid bed and spouted bed technology for processes related to drying, granulation, coating and encapsulation technologies. This also includes certified contract manufacturing.

Glatt Ingenieurtechnik is a member of various growth hubs funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). We maintain close partnerships with numerous scientific institutions, such as the Bauhaus University Weimar, the Otto von Gericke University in Magdeburg and the Hamburg Harburg Technical University.
