PHOS4green pilot plant in Weimar

PGOS4green pilot plant now in Weimar for phosphorus recycling with reduced heavy metal content. Glatt Ingenieurtechnik is using a containerized plant for heavy metal removal from sewage sludge ash as part of phosphorus recovery trials. Thanks to PHOS4green technology at the new demonstration plant, sewage sludge ashes with elevated heavy metal content can be converted into fertilizer granules for the agricultural industry that meet all compliance requirements.

nanoAR project start

Joint project “nanoAR” launched for new and robust anti-reflectivesolutions for the clean energy supply of the future. Glatt’s part in this project relates to the production of ultra-fine nanopowders with high purity and a narrow particle size distribution. Glatt powder synthesis will be used for this purpose. The powders produced will then be applied by the project partners as a mask to the surfaces to be anti-reflective coated.

Save the date: October 11, 2024 – 9:25 a.m. ‘Use of fluidized bed technology for the immobilization and controlled release of microorganisms’. Meet Dr. Georg Fröhlich, Glatt Ingenieurtechnik, at GDL Congress on Food Technology, October 10-12, 2024, Lemgo, Germany. In a laboratory unit (ProCell LabSystem, Glatt Technology Center Weimar), fluidized bed techniques and encapsulation materials and thicknesses were varied using Lactiplantibacillus plantarum 299v. A pH-time regime was used in in vitro experiments to simulate the stress in the gastrointestinal tract.

The addition of selective heavy metal removal to PHOS4green minimizes unwanted ash components. Heavy metals are selectively removed using selected mineral acids.
