Glatt Ingenieurtechnik is using a containerized plant for heavy metal removal from sewage sludge ash as part of phosphorus recovery trials. Thanks to PHOS4green technology at the new demonstration plant, sewage sludge ashes with elevated heavy metal content can be converted into fertilizer granules for the agricultural industry that meet all compliance requirements.

Joint project “nanoAR” launched for new and robust anti-reflectivesolutions for the clean energy supply of the future. Glatt’s part in this project relates to the production of ultra-fine nanopowders with high purity and a narrow particle size distribution. Glatt powder synthesis will be used for this purpose. The powders produced will then be applied by the project partners as a mask to the surfaces to be anti-reflective coated.

Phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge ash with heavy metal removal’: Dr. Buchheim, Glatt Ingenieurtechnik, 08.10.2024 – 5:15 p.m. Meet one of the Glatt experts for phosphorus recycling and learn more about the PHOS4green technology. The addition of selective heavy metal removal to PHOS4green minimizes unwanted ash components. Heavy metals are selectively removed using selected mineral acids. This releases valuable material streams that offer additional potential for marketing as building materials or raw materials for hydrometallurgical recycling.
